Chris Monteiro calls the south coast of Massachusetts home but spent his formative years as the consummate “army brat.” His own subsequent 22-year career as a military pilot and life throughout the U.S. and overseas nurtured a facility with accents that bolsters his passion to foster natural and diverse characters in military sci-fi, space operas, thrillers, and mysteries. With a B.S. in Aeronautics and an M.A. in teaching (History) Chris is just as well-suited to non-fiction and historical material. To date he and his pseudo (Christian Stark) has narrated more than 60 titles in numerous genres for Tantor, Highbridge, Ascent, McGraw Hill, WildBlue Press, Relay Publishing, the University Presses, and can be found on the rosters of the Big 5 publishers and independent production houses. Fun fact – as a book lover who discovered he could only stay awake while reading aloud, audiobook narration became a perfect fit for him!
